Small Group is NOT at Tuggy's House this Sunday

...but Tuggy is still hosting it. At Skip & Lyn Owen's house, because that is where she is house-sitting. They said to have a party and invite people over, so...

Heading south on Hwy 27 towards LaFayette, go past Chickamauga and turn L on Twin Cedars (it's approximately 7 miles from when you get on the 27 bypass at Fort O. until you get to Twin Cedars, which isn't Twin Cedars on the right hand side of the road, it's Lee Clarkson there. Just to clarify matters.)

Twin Cedars will dead-end onto Long Hollow Rd. In about half a mile (Google Maps says it's the third left) turn L onto East Long Hollow Rd. If you stay straight, you'll be staying on Long Hollow, which you don't want to do.

In a little less than a mile, you'll come to a stop sign, cati-corner to Peavine Baptist Church. You'll go straight, which is Peavine Rd. If you turned right, it would also be Peavine Rd, just the wrong direction. This all goes to show you what kind of weird people must live back in these places.

You'll go straight for almost two miles past the church, passing into Catoosa County, and then take a R onto Beaumont Rd. You're almost there. Less than half a mile ahead, you'll take the 3rd R onto Destiny Lane. (Google Maps says it's the 2nd right, but they don't know anything. Henry, then Safeway, then Destiny, which sneaks up on you.)

Destiny is a gravel road. You'll go past a couple of houses on your right, then one of those country yards that's really more like an enormous field; keep going; there are some water-filled potholes and then you'll see that even though the road keeps going straight, the curve into a very short driveway looks more well-traveled than if you went straight. That's the Owen's house. It's green. My gold Ford Focus and Lyn's yellow VW Beetle are parked next to the house. Call me if you get lost. If you don't have my number, ask me for it at church, or call someone who you think might have it, because I'm not posting it on these public interwebses, for fear of stalkers.

May the wind be at your back and the sun soft on your face. Don't stop to talk to the willow trees - they're a bit peevish and unpredictable. Stay on the path. See you at 6 pm.

Pray for Gerry Gutierrez

Please pray for Gerry Gutierrez, an old friend of mine who suffers with diabetes. This morning he was taken to the ER with elevated blood sugar levels.

Travis has led several groups of Covenant College students on trips to Peru to work with him and Gerry and some of his family members recently visited with us at Highlands.

Dennis, could you post this to the church email prayer chain?
